Wanted to share part of an article I came across….just information we all tend to overlook in our busy, email hectic days…..
1. To say “Thank You” — Thank you cards are always appreciated and they are getting to be uncommon. Stand out by showing teachers, coworkers, etc. how much you appreciate them.
2. To “Congratulate” — Has your loved one, client, best friend done something special? Send them a card and congratulate them on their achievements.
3. To “Motivate“– In these tough economic times, employees can be demotivated and feel unappreciated due to budget cutbacks and reduction of employee recognition. Send a customized greeting card to help motivate your Team or peers.
4. Wish your clients a “Happy Birthday” — Everyone likes to get a card on their birthday. Empires have been built on just sending happy birthday cards to clients.
5. To send “Condolences” — A card is a nice way to let people know that you are in their thoughts and prayers.
6. To “Promote” a special event — A handwritten greeting card gets attention and is a great (glossy & full color) way to get extra publicity for any event you are holding.
7. For a “Holiday” — The more unusual the holiday the better. Everyone sends Christmas cards, so why not send one for Ground Hog day? No holiday on the horizon? How about National Chocolate Chip Pancake Day? Or National Smile Day? Or make one up!!!
8. To pay a “Compliment” — Send a card to the boss or supervisor of someone who has gone above and beyond. You’ll get great service next time too.
9. “Just Because“. You don’t really need a reason to send a card. Send cards when you think of it. Your mom, sister and BFF will be so glad you did!!!
